Welcome to Castle Park Theatre

After two successful shows around the Castle Bailey, and our inaugural season of theatre in the Lower Bowls Green last year, we're back with something magical of our own and something special from some wonderful friends of ours.

A modern retelling on the classic story by the Brother’s Grimm, it’s Gretel’s first-time camping but while out searching for fire wood, she stumbles across a house entirely made of sugary treats, where all is not as sweet as it looks!

The Secret Garden

Join Chris Mayne’s World of Magic and Sandal Sticks Theatre in an interactive storytelling journey, inspired by the much loved novel, The Secret Garden.

Gates open an hour before each performance for audiences to enjoy the space.

A bar will be open for drinks and light snacks before each show and during the interval. Audience members are allowed picnics in the space and are advised to also bring chairs, a warm coat and blankets.

Performances will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions.
